Gunmen believed to be political thugs have reportedly attacked and disrupted the Labour Party meeting in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The hoodlums, who numbered about 20, were said to be armed with guns and machetes.
The attack, it was learnt, left no fewer than 17 persons injured.
The incident occurred at Awgu Town, Awgu LGA of Enugu State around 6pm on Sunday.
